A Comparison of the Substance Abuse Proclivity Scale and the Drug Misuse Scale from the MMPI.
Hammersley, Richard; And Others
Journal of Adolescent Chemical Dependency, v2 n3-4 p87-91 1993
Drug Misuse Scale (DMS) and Substance Abuse Proclivity Scale (SAPS), both of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, were compared using adolescent sample used to develop the DMS. Found that the SAP scale could not discriminate between different levels of drug use in this nontreatment sample. Concluded that DMS may be superior at predicting proclivity to drug abuse.
