Teachers face two serious difficulties when assigning research papers: (1) motivation and mental disposition; and (2) plagiarism as a by-product of the Web. In this article, the authors describe how they have addressed both these problems by strategically using appropriate motion pictures as entrees into the subject matter and as points of comparison to help organize research papers.
