The author has been teaching primary school children for 20 years, and has always been passionate about teaching young people about the environment. In this article, he describes his work with Tetra Pak and WWF-UK to develop a national, school-based competition and teaching programme to help children understand the importance of using renewable resources and how they can play a role in helping to protect the world in which they live.
