School Desegregation, Academic Attainment, and Earnings.
Rivkin, Steven G.
Journal of Human Resources, v35 n2 p333-46 Spr 2000
High School and Beyond longitudinal survey data were used to investigate the impact of school racial composition and quality on achievement, educational attainment, and earnings for blacks. Results support the idea that school quality improvement is likely to be much more effective than desegregation as a means of improving academic and labor market outcomes for blacks. (SK)
