The Assessment of Bulimic Symptoms and Personality Correlates in Female College Students.
Nagelberg, Daniel B.; And Others
Journal of Clinical Psychology, v40 n2 p440-45 Mar 1984
Classified college women (N=244) into three groups according to bulimic symptoms: (1) binge eating; (2) purging; and (3) controls. Results indicated purging may represent the critical behavior in bulimia assessment. Purgers showed lower self-esteem, lowered will control, and less regard for social demands, suggesting significant differences between the groups. (LLL)
