Last September ten Australian educators set out to explore how the Paradise Valley School District in Phoenix Arizona cultivates world class thinkers and leaders. Over the course of a week, study Tour delegates were immersed in K-12 schools where a district-wide approach fosters equity and empowers teachers and students to use technology effectively for teaching and learning. In this article the authors share: (1) details of the study tour program; (2) the action research and protocols utilised whilst on tour; (3) what they learnt; and (4) the amazing programs that have eventuated in Australian schools as a result of the work of delegates.
