Fluorescence, Absorption, and Excitation Spectra of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons as a Tool for Quantitative Analysis
Rivera-Figueroa, A. M.; Ramazan, K. A.; Finlayson-Pitts, B. J.
Journal of Chemical Education, v81 n2 p242 Feb 2004
A quantitative and qualitative study of the interplay between absorption, fluorescence, and excitation spectra of pollutants called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is conducted. The study of five PAH displays the correlation of the above-mentioned properties along with the associated molecular changes.
