This 1989-1990 status report of the Oklahoma State Occupational Information Coordinating Committee (SOICC) includes the following: mission statement; organization chart; information on SOICC publications, including a labor supply and demand report; a listing of occupations licensed in Oklahoma, and a note on a career tabloid; descriptions of the new computerized Micro Occupational Information System (OIS), the star schools project, and improved career decision-making (ICDM) workshops; the national career development guidelines; mention of a motivational videocassette for middle and high school students, used to stress the importance of math and science courses, and of the initiation of a quarterly newsletter; and a description of Career Search, a computerized interest inventory and career information delivery system, and of the Naval Reserve civilian training project.
