Presented in this guide are 11 multi-disciplinary ethnic heritage units for use with grades K-6. Included are units on Mexicans, Alabama Indians, the Japanese, black Americans, African and American folklore, the Afro-American struggle for freedom, and the contributions of outstanding blacks to our society. Each unit contains a lesson plan which lists subject matter, general objectives, a subject overview, and estimated class time. Also listed are content outlines, instructional objectives, learning activities, and materials and resources. Samples of pre- and post-tests are provided. (EB)
