The first part of this workbook reviews and advocates articulation between high school cooperative education programs and vocational programs in higher education. It begins by defining some of the most common terms used to describe articulation, such as "tech prep" and "2+2", and for the implementation of articulation strategies, in general. It points out the positive benefits to be gained from articulation by both schools and students and then notes the things that should be considered before discussions on articulation are initiated. Strategies for getting articulation started are examined, and steps for successful programs are outlines. Following a cautionary glance at possible problems, the manual suggests strategies for implementation of articulation programs. The second part of the workbook consists of an extensive appendix containing a list of articulation terminology, a form for laying out considerations for credit-granting, sample agreements, guidelines for program implementation, and suggestions for external support.
