Leading Every Day: 124 Actions for Effective Leadership.
Kaser, Joyce; Mundry, Susan; Stiles, Katherine E.; Loucks-Horsley, Susan
This book provides leaders and those who aspire to be leaders with information in four areas to help them lead reform efforts in their schools, districts, or other organizations. These areas are leadership, change management, lifelong learning, and group facilitation. There are four sub-books contained within this one document: "Leadership Every Day,""Leading Change,""Leading Learning," and "Leading Effective Groups." For each sub-book, the material is presented in 31 contemplations, one for each day of the month in a "daybook" format. Each contemplation begins with a quote, presents some aspect of the topic, gives an invitation for larger discourse, and ends with a reflection, usually some questions or a scenario to be considered. It is hoped that the material will be useful for all persons responsible for leading change efforts in any type of organization, be it local, regional, state, national, public, or private. Although the primary audience is made up of leaders in science and mathematics reform, the content is applicable to others who may be leading major transitions in their organizations. (RT)
