The use of technology in the rehabilitation of disabled individuals is hampered by the lack of financial resources, information on such technology, consumer involvement, and support services such as consumer training and product service. Federal and local money and resources plus the involvement of rehabilitation professionals are needed to promote the development and production of needed equipment. (CB)
