Assess Your Program with a Survey
Porter, Ann
Teaching Music, v14 n3 p46 Dec 2006
Finding ways for students and parents involved in the music program to assess instructional effectiveness can be daunting. One highly informative way to evaluate the instructional process in a music program is to administer a survey to students--and parents. In this article, the author describes how she uses an online survey program which enables her to evaluate her own instructional process and improve teaching practices. She also relates how this online survey promotes anonymity and produces quick results. Other features of this program includes the ability to share results, help with survey design, and flexibility with types of questions.
