The worksheets contained in this bulletin are designed for use in conjunction with the teaching strategies for Theme V entitled, "The Industrial Revolution Had Global Impact." The worksheets correspond to specific strategies with accompanying questions on the appropriate strategy page. Included are activities for the seven subthemes: (1) Preindustrial Society; (2) Certain Economic, Political, and Scientific Conditions Were Essential for Industrial Development; (3) New Inventions Change Economic Life; (4) Abuses of the Industrial Revolution Lead to Protest and Response; (5) Social and Economic Effects of the Industrial Revolution; (6) The Industrial Revolution Affected Ideologies; and (7) Japan: A Case Study. In order to sensitize students to the existence of a shared cultural legacy, the Global Cultural Bank activity is included. This may be used as the culminating exercise for each subtheme. (KWL)
