A Guide to Systematic Training. Planning, Implementing, Reviewing.
Hotel and Catering Training Board, Wembley (England).
This guide is designed for managers and supervisors so they can quickly understand the meaning of systematic training and of the practical steps to take to make training efficient. It is useful as a checklist for those responsible for organizing or advising on training and as a basis for meetings, training sessions, and discussions on systematic training. Information is organized by nine stages. They are (1) the value of a training policy, (2) identifying where training is required, (3) organizing training, (4) the cost of training, (5) preparing the training plan, (6) drawing up the training programs, (7) putting planned training into practice, (8) keeping a record of training, and (9) reviewing, evaluating, and improving the training. Examples of how the guides have helped in practice are provided. Appendixes include sample training plans and listings of Hotel and Catering Training Board publications and regional offices. (YLB)
