Tachycardia During Resistance Exercise: A Case Study.
Fry, Andrew C.; Parks, Michael J.
Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, v15 n4 p503-506 Nov 2001
This case study examined a weight-trained (WT) male who had an unusually high heart rate response to heavy resistance exercise and self-administered anabolic androgenic steroids as an ergogenic aid to training. The subject was compared to 18 other WT people. His tachycardia response occurred only in the presence of a pressure load and not with a volume load. (SM)
