This handbook presents the plan for the Alabama computerized certification program for school food service employees. The first section contains the following information and materials pertaining to the child nutrition certification program: rationale; position titles (Child Nutrition Program Director or Supervisor, Child Nutrition Program Manager, and Child Nutrition Program Assistant); procedure for administering the program; organizational chart; requirements; qualifications, and position titles; clock-hour units awarded for approved activities; form for recording workshop courses and activities credited through Alabama's Child Nutrition Education Program; and an application for clock-hour credits for the program. Other exhibits include examples of computer records (Individual's Annual Computer Print-Out from State Department of Education and Alabama's Master Child Nutrition Training Record) and Questions and Answers Concerning Certification Policies and Procedures for Members of American School Food Service Association.
