The Impact of Physical and Discursive Anonymity on Group Members' Multiple Identifications during Computer-Supported Decision Making.
Scott, Craig R.
Western Journal of Communication, v63 n4 p456-87 Fall 1999
Examines the relationship between identity and anonymity in use of computer-based group decision support systems (GDSS). Finds that identification with all targets was lower in GDSS meetings than it was in general; and that discursively anonymous participants had less identification with their group and used fewer expressions of multiple identifications than did discursively identified participants.
