The Development of Health Knowledge in Low-Income Mexican-American Children.
Olvera-Ezzell, Norma; And Others
Child Development, v65 n2 Apr p416-27 1994
Measured Mexican American children's understanding of the relationship between health behavior and health status in three areas: (1) nutrition; (2) hygiene; and (3) safety. Results revealed that the children knew the least about the relationship between food consumption and their health and knew the most about beneficial and harmful practices in the areas of safety and hygiene.
