Factors Associated with Enrollment in Agricultural Science and Membership in the FFA in Texas.

Of 1,697 Texas secondary agriculture students, 71 percent were white and 77 percent male, although total secondary enrollment is 50 percent male, 50 percent female, and 48 percent minority. Agriscience enrollment was influenced most by class characteristics and identity enhancement. Future Farmers of America also contributed to identity enhancement. (SK)
