Abstracts based on documents from the UNESCO International Meeting on Post-graduate Qualifications of Mathematics and Physics Teachers, 1973, in Varna, Bulgaria, are presented in this newsletter. The following subjects are covered: (1) further education of teachers of mathematics and physics; (2) the system of raising the qualifications of educators in Moscow; (3) raising the efficiency of pedagogical qualifications of teachers in the USSR; (4) training of educators in the context of life-long education (UNESCO Project); (5) experiences with the use of radio and television in the further education of teachers--UNESCO seminar in Poland; (6) work with young teachers in the German Democratic Republic; (7) further education of teachers in Denmark; and (8) further education and raising the qualifications of teachers in France.
