Children's Charities, 1974. Part 2: Epilepsy Foundation. Hearings Before the Subcommittee on Children and Youth of the Committee on Labor and Public Welfare, United States Senate, Ninety-third Congress, Second Session. Hearings Held April 8-9, 1974.
Congress of the U.S., Washington, DC. Senate Committee on Labor and Public Welfare.
These hearings are the second part of hearings on the kind of services children receive through charity; how charities obtain funds from the public; and how much they spend on fundraising, general management, and program services. The focus of these hearings is on the Epilepsy Foundation of America. Testimony was given by officials of that organization, a panel of medical experts, representatives of state agencies concerned with the regulation of children's charities, and a representative of the National Health Council. "Additional Information" and "Appendixes" consist of documents, statistics, and newspaper and periodical articles. In addition are appended statements from representatives of the Epilepsy Foundation of America, state regulatory agencies, medical experts, and the National Health Council. (JM)
