A set of Peace Corps materials for introductory Spanish contains 19 units on aspects of Spanish verbs: the verb "estar"; the present tense of regular verbs; the use of "necesitar" and "ir" with infinitives; "querer,""poner,""tener que" and the infinitive; the verb "ser"; the present tense of irregular verbs; the past tense of regular and irregular verbs and verbs with indirect pronouns; the impersonal "se" and impersonal phrases; progressive tense; the imperfect and past tenses; reflexive verbs; imperatives; the future tense; the use of "por" and "para"; present subjunctive; and past and conditional subjunctives. The units contain dialogs, exercises, useful expressions, grammar notes, brief readings, and vocabulary. (MSE)
