This paper elaborates on the Agency for International Development's (AID) new strategies for educational assistance to developing nations, with special reference to available, centrally funded technical assistance resources and the means for procuring them. Section one provides a brief introduction and lists the kinds of resources available and generally procedures for getting them. Section two outlines the agency's policies and programs on educational economics, problem analysis, and decision-making strategies for financing education. Section three describes AID programs and available resources for program development in nonformal education. Section four discusses AID programs for improving educational technology in developing nations. Procedures for using these resources are also included. Section five describes the programs and resources for improving higher education in developing countries. Finally, section six describes the efforts to coordinate these programs for greater effectiveness. (DE)
