Examined recent trends and future prospects regarding marriage and divorce patterns among women in the United States. Results suggest that first marriage takes place later, more adult women will never marry, divorce has likely peaked, remarriage after divorce is declining, and women representing first 10 years of the baby boom are expected to have highest divorce rate.
