Gleazer, Jr., covering why foreign students attend community colleges, the need for organizing principles for handling these students, the differences between community colleges and four-year institutions, community-based education, and what happens to foreign students in the community college setting; "Profile of Foreign Students in United States Community and Junior Colleges" by Theodore Diener, on foreign students' characteristics and demography; "Constraints and Issues in Planning and Implementing Programs for Foreign Students in Community and Junior Colleges" by S. V. Martorana; and "Effective Programming for Foreign Students in Community and Junior Colleges" by A. Hugh Adams. A "Public Statement" issued by the colloquium deals with the purpose of international education in United States community colleges, foreign student enrollment as a facet of the international education program, and colloquium conclusions for local, state, and national levels relative to preadmissions information, admissions, English ability, finance, health and housing, guidance and counseling, and instruction.
