Climate Change Schools Project...
McKinzey, Krista
Education in Science, n240 p18-19 Nov 2010
This article features the award-winning Climate Change Schools Project which aims to: (1) help schools to embed climate change throughout the national curriculum; and (2) showcase schools as "beacons" for climate change teaching, learning, and positive action in their local communities. Operating since 2007, the Climate Change Schools Project empowers young people through teachers and schools to become "everyday experts" on climate change. Creating a solid grounding in the core principles of climate change science in young people of all ages and abilities underpins the Project's aims--this enhanced understanding then enables young people and their schools to inform and inspire positive action in their local communities.
