This learner's guide on nutrients is derived from a water monitoring curriculum developed at Ulster County Community College. There are 30 modules in this guide; each introduced with a statement of purpose and then broken down into an objective, learning conditions, and performance level. The modules cover: (1) safety; (2) chemical compounds; (3) equipment utilization; (4) biochemical reactions; and (5) chemical determinations. Among the chemical tests included are those for oxygen, chlorine, nitrogen, phosphorus, carbon, pH, and hardness. (CS)
