The Afton Falls Case. Multiculture Education. A Study in Equalizing Educational Opportunities for Minority Groups.
Witcher, William W.; Baptiste, H. Prentice, Jr.
This learning module instruction booklet provides guidelines for the use of a kit designed to teach students nondiscriminatory social attitudes and to heighten general awareness of cultural differences. Intended for use with a film followed by group discussion, the kit provides samples of attitude pretest and an attitude posttest related to the social bias of the student. Instructions for the conduct of a group caucus to utilize the material presented in the accompanying film are included. Role-playing techniques are utilized to promote cultural sensitivity, and a mock social situation is constructed to provide a background for the role-playing exercises. (LH)
