Merging University Students into K-12 Science Education Reform.

Programs developing and supporting partnerships between scientists and elementary and secondary school classrooms have been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as well as other federal funding agencies. This document reports on a study exploring the impacts, challenges, and strategies of programs that link science graduate and undergraduate students to K-12 classrooms. Contents include: (1) "Introduction"; (2) "Program Descriptions"; (3) "Outreach Programs: The Perspective from K-12 Classrooms"; (4) "Outreach Programs: The Perspective from Institutions of Higher Education"; and (5) "Summary and Conclusions".
