Garcia), in Spanish, emphasizes recent feature-length films that reflect the national Puerto Rican culture. An interview with Diego de la Texera recounts the attempt by Sandino Films to create a national Puerto Rican cinema and discusses the problems of financing independent films. "TELEVISA, Mexico's Multi-national" (J. Sinclair) explores the relationship between a monopolistic Mexican media conglomerate and American capital. "Cultura y grupos populares en la historia viva de Puerto Rico hoy" (L. Milagros Gonzalez), in Spanish, discusses the need for the media to acknowledge the everyday sources of Latino culture.
