Bullying Prevention: A Research Dialogue with Dorothy Espelage
Prevention Researcher, v19 n3 p17-20 2012
Bullying impacts many of our nation's youth, either as victims, bullies, or bystanders. Over the past two decades, we have seen the research on bullying grow as researchers first defined bullying, and then explored how to effectively intervene and prevent it from happening. We know from listening to our readers and board members that there are many questions about bullying prevention, and at the same time, we know from following the research that it is a complicated topic. In this Q&A, Dorothy Espelage--who has been conducting research on bullying prevention and intervention for the past 18 years--answers some of our pressing questions about bullying and bullying prevention.
