Topics include major religions, and African, Chinese, and Native American beliefs. Coverage ranges from age-appropriate reference materials to folktales, prose, poetry, plays, and picture books. Because the majority of publications concern Christianity and Judaism, these religions comprise the largest portion of the book. The Bible is discussed in a separate chapter, as are materials on a monotheistic god, comparative religion, and prayer. Holiday works are grouped within their respective faiths.
