Stepping Stones: Never Waste Your Prep Period Again
Balsley, Jessica
Arts & Activities, v151 n3 p10 Apr 2012
Breaks are the best part of working. At some point everyone does look forward to his or her lunch break. For teachers, however, it seems there is never truly a break, for whenever they have extra time, they must use it wisely to prepare for their teaching. Unfortunately, many teachers don't manage their time efficiently during a prep or planning period and hence always feel behind and stressed. Art teachers must be even more diligent during their prep time at work because so much of their work is hands-on. In this article, the author offers seven tricks which will hopefully help art teachers work smarter during the small breaks in their day, in order to help them do their job well but also have a life outside of work.
