In this brave new world of education that has so much technology in it, there are many questions educational leaders must consider: (1) How can educational leaders keep up with the changes in technologies with educational applications? (2) How can technologies be used to level the playing field for students with disabilities, English language learners, and other students who may have educational disadvantages? and (3) How can educational leaders anticipate the resource and infrastructure requirements associated with the increasing expectations for technology-based instruction and assessment? Technological advances mean that the educational landscape is changing rapidly, and educational leaders must seek out information on current technologies to ensure that their students have the access tools, including accommodations, for both instruction and assessment. In a climate of limited resources for schools, educational leaders must make decisions, informed by research and expert judgment, about which technologies to adopt. (Contains 1 table.)
