This bulletin, published three times annually, reports on promising practices in the pupil services disciplines serving Wisconsin youth, and stimulates professional activity in the pupil service field. This issue includes articles dealing with: (1) a teacher education program in communication skills; (2) a guide to counseling mentally handicapped students; (3) a curriculum for guidance in the elementary school; (4) an evaluation of consumer satisfaction with health services for exceptional children; (5) a discussion of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome as a significant cause of birth defects; and (6) a description of the Wisconsin Writing Project, a group of teachers dedicated to improving the writing skills of their students.
