A Study of Student Satisfaction on Part-Time, Nontraditional MBA Students
Pianki, Francis O.
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Indiana University
The purpose of this study was to answer three specific research questions regarding students within a nontraditional, part-time, two year, cohort based MBA program. How satisfied are the students with this particular program? What are the factors and their relationship that best describe overall satisfaction? Are there differences in student satisfaction based on gender and/or cohort year? A survey instrument, based upon Bean's conceptual model of nontraditional student attrition (Bean, 1997), was used to gather data from five MBA class locations. Methods of analysis used were factor analysis, regression analysis and path analysis. Final results indicated that the group was very satisfied with the program (4.13/5.00). The most important influences on student satisfaction were academic integration and institutional fit and there was no significant effect from either gender or cohort year.
