This self-instructional module on assessing the health of your business is the eleventh in a set of twelve modules designed for small business owner-managers. The competency for this module is to assess the financial condition of your business. Provided are information sections (key business records, balance sheet and profit and loss statements, and four basic questions when examining the balance sheet and the profit and loss statement); one learning activity (a balance sheet and profit and loss statement exercise); three pamphlets from the Small Business Administration ("Controlling Cash in Small Retail and Service Firms,""Analyze Your Records to Reduce Costs," and "Is Your Cash Supply Adequate?"); and a script for a cassette tape designed for use with this module.
