This document contains the four concluding chapters and index of the Biennial Survey of Education, covering the years 1928-1930. Chapter 4, Statistics of universities, colleges, and professional schools, 1929-30, is made up of three parts: (1) Personnel, receipts, and property (Emery M. Foster and Frederick J. Kelley); (2) Expenditures (Henry G. Badger); and (3) Land-grant colleges and universities (Walter J. Greenleaf). The remainder of the chapters in this volume include: (5) Statistics of teachers colleges and normal schools, 1929-30; (6) Statistics of public high schools, 1929-30 (Emery M. Foster and Russell M. Kelley with the cooperation of Carl A. Jessen); and (7) Statistics of private high schools and academies, 1929-30. An index is provided. Individual chapters contain footnotes. (Contains 3 figures and 166 tables.) [Due to its size, this volume has been processed as two separate parts. The first part, ED543453, includes the Chapter I through Chapter III.
