This guide identifies existing employability skills materials and provides annotations to assist the reader in selecting materials. To assist Florida educators in relating employability skills to educational goals, Florida goals and standards are presented. A Topic Index to Titles first provides a topic outline of skills areas based on The Florida Catalog of Occupational Education Objectives: Employability Skills. Titles of materials are grouped by media. Materials here (and throughout the guide) are coded to indicate Spanish availability; low reading ability; and learning disabilities or low motivation, or both. The annotations section--the heart of the guide--groups materials by media: cassettes, films, filmstrips, Florida materials, games, kits, print (aptitude and interest inventories, periodicals, professional materials, student materials), and transparencies/spirit masters. Annotations include name of publisher or source, grade level, brief description, and price and date of publication whenever this information is available. Materials are suitable for senior high school students unless otherwise indicated. Other contents of the guide include (1) listings of free and inexpensive materials, helpful names and addresses, and Florida B2 modules related to employability skills; (2) publishers' addresses; and (3) title index.
