This book provides background information and ideas for teaching about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln at the primary grade level. Cross-curricular activities include work in music, writing, art, research, plays, and games. A pull-out poster with a poem on "President's Day" is stapled in the center of the book. Chapters in the book are: (1) "Getting to Know George"; (2) "The Father of His Country"; (3) "All about Abe"; (4) "President of a Divided Nation"; and (5) "Heading Into History."
