Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, v47 n9 p1048 Sep 2008
The study assesses the comparative efficacy of a classroom-based psycho-education and skills intervention and a school-based trauma- and grief-focused group treatment of a three-tiered mental health program for adolescents exposed to severe war-trauma, traumatic bereavement, and postwar adversity. The two-tier approach, combined with community-based mental health program, proves an effective and efficient method for the recovery of war-exposed adolescents.
