Used cluster analysis to investigate the influence of sex role on work preferences in 1,081 Australian high school students who completed the Work Aspect Preference Scale. Results revealed substantial similarities in the preference patterns of males and females, with differences in the Altruism and Physical Activity subscales. (JAC)

Explores the role of prestige, sex type, and vocational interests in influencing compromise in career decision making among Australian youth (N=287).
