This video covers the "Internet for Information Management" session of the "Eco-Informa '96" conference. Four speakers presented information on the use of the World Wide Web to disseminate ecological information provided by their agencies. Each speaker introduced their agency, discussing its mission and the kinds of information they present over the Internet, and then discussed specific aspects of the websites in greater detail. Presentations included: "A Federal Agency Serving Historical and RealTime Stream Flow Data on WWW" (Ken Lanfear--U.S. Geological Survey); "A Nonprofit Center Getting Natural Resource Information Over Internet to Watershed Groups and Farmers" (Scott Bruton--Conservation Technology Information Center); "Sharing Information and Data over Internet for Ecological Protection in South Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, and National Estuary Programs" (Chris Friel--Florida Department of Environmental Protection); and "A Federal Agency Working with Partners To Provide Public Access to Environmental Information and Mapping for Your Place of Concern" (Patrick Garvey--U.S. Environmental Protection Agency).
