The Community College Role in Higher Education.
Dungy, Gwen
Liberal Education, v81 n4 p48-53 Fall 1995
While community colleges and their students are highly diverse, a shared characteristic is the American Dream of aspiration to higher education. However, four-year institutions are not universally accepting of community college credits, even from high-achieving students. Better articulation and cooperation can reduce the division between two- and four-year institutions without compromising academic standards. (MSE)
