Expanding Roles or Evolving Identity? Doctoral School Psychologists in School vs. Nonschool Practice Settings.
Short, Rick Jay; Rosenthal, Susan L.
Psychology in the Schools, v32 n4 p296-305 Oct 1995
Investigates variables related to the professional identity and career path of school-based vs. non-school-based doctoral-level school psychologists. Although respondents (n=273) differed little by employment setting in reports of their training or experience, they differed significantly in two areas: ratings of relative importance of characteristics of employment setting, and perceived identity as a school psychologist.
