Sexual Contact during and after Professional Relationships: Practices and Attitudes of Female Counselors.
Thoreson, Richard W.; And Others
Journal of Counseling & Development, v74 n1 p84-89 Sep-Oct 1995
Surveys a national sample of female counselors (n=377) regarding sexual contact in professional relations. Few counselors reported a relationship with clients, supervisees, or students. Individuals with doctoral degrees were more likely to have had sexual contact with their own counselors, supervisors, or teachers. Contact in current relationships was seen as less ethical than in subsequent relationships. (JPS)
