Examines long-term outcome of cognitive-behavioral treatment in 63 patients with panic disorder. Many patients (27%) sought further treatment for panic during follow-up because of less-than-adequate response to treatment; nevertheless, additional treatment did not result in further clinical improvement. Pretreatment severity of disorder and the use of psychotropic medication were associated with poorer outcome. (JPS)
