Zhang, Yixin
ERS Spectrum, v23 n3 p31-38 Sum 2005
This empirical study describes the administrative experiences of a collaborative model between a local middle school and a college of education. The project focuses on technology training and utilization using the current educational research concept Universal Design for Learning (UDL). UDL's basic principles of multiple representations, multiple options for expression, and active engagement are made realistic through availability of current educational technologies. This article delineates unique features of collaborative professional development opportunities and benefits for teachers and teacher educators. Additionally, it explores policy implications based on experiences implementing this collaborative model. (Contains 1 table.)
