Ricadute metalinguistiche dell'insegnamento dell'esperanto sulla lingua materna dell'alunno: Un'esperienza nella scuola media italiana (Metalinguistic Benefits of Planned Language Instruction: The Case of Esperanto in an Italian Secondary School).
Pinto, Maria Antonietta; Corsetti, Renato
Language Problems & Language Planning, v25 n1 p73-90 Spr 2001
Two groups of secondary school students participated in an experiment on the effect of Esperanto instruction on their metalinguistic abilities. The group that studied Esperanto for a full school year achieved better results on independently developed tests of metalinguistic ability in comparison with the control group. Results suggest the teaching of Esperanto enhances general metalinguistic skills. (Author/VWL)
